1. Horse riding in Europe (on the horseback and on a cart)

We invite you to horseback tours on a cart and on horseback in Slovakia, Poland, Hungary.

Yan is the owner of the "Hutsul" ranch, the organizer and guide of camping in Europe, has been conducting such tours since 2006. Yan is a Slovak; he understands and speaks Ukrainian and Polish languages. 

A unique trip on the cart and on the horseback. A great opportunity to relax and learn more about our neighbors - the Slovaks, Poles, Hungarians, not in an ordinary tourist trip, but from the inside, completely pouring into the atmosphere of the country. Everywhere we will have the opportunity to communicate with the local population. In the cart of the hospitable host, there is always and he tips off genuinely wine to tourists for thir good behaviour.

 

How should we go? We will go in the cart, and also we can take 1-3 horses that will run after a cart, and then several participants can always ride from behind, not provoking the horses in the cart when we will not go the roadways. There are 3 horses under the saddle and 3 carts: 4 seats in one cart, 6 seats in the second cart and 8 seats in the third one. There is always good Tokay wine in the cart, overnight in the picturesque areas, mostly near the rivers and lakes where you can swim.                 

 

Where should we start? We will start from the "Hutsul" ranch, which is 1.5 km from the Ukrainian-Slovak transition Malyi Bereznyi in the picturesque Ubla village.

The ranch is located on the shore of the mountain river Ublianka, there is a lake in the territory of the ranch, where fish is breeding, and there is a very comfortable kolyba on the shore of the lake.

Tourist overnight takes place in the carriages for 4-6 people (warmed and heat-insulated)/There is a tube-bath for 2-4 people for relaxation after the road. The ranch holds 12 heads of horses of all ages, 8 of which are working horses (6 hutsul horses, 2 shahia-arab)

Hygiene There are several great tourist showers, if you wish you can take a shower every day

Meals 3 meals a day (traditional homemade cuisine)

Tokay valley - a unique valley divided between two states Slovakia and Hungary. The territory of Slovakia includes 7 villages of the valley, up to the territory of Hungary 17. Wine produced in this area is a real Tokay. In addition to large enterprises producing Tokay wine, almost every dairy farm (house) has its own unique family-style wine production. Each family has its own beer cellar (a deep cellar with barrels of wine, where there is a winery tasting room.

Great tasting for 2 hours for 10 Euro.

In the wineyards, you can taste wine produced by small wine makers.

day 1

Check in on the territory of "Hutsul" ranch from 14:00 and until the evening. Meeting with the owner of the ranch on the Slovak side of the Ukrainian-Slovak border, Malyi Bereznyi - Ubla.

 

day 2

Transfer from Ubla village to Mala Tyrnia village on Tysa River, where 3 countries Hungary, Slovakia and Ukraine converge. There is a sandy beach on the river where you can swim.

 

From Tysa river we will go to Malyi Horesh where there are large wineyards and many beer cellars, there you can start wine tasting. The camp shall set in wineyards.

 

day 3

From Velyki Tyrni we will go to wineyards to Mala Tyrnia, Bara, Vinichki villages. In the wineyards, we will taste wine from the local masters. We will cross Bodrok river and leave the Tokay valley. We will go to Malyi Horesh village, the old beer cellars that UNESCO plans to add to its list.

day 4

From Horesh to the Slovak-Hungarian border we will go to Trakany village, Tysa river, where the borders of three states Hungary, Slovakia and Ukraine converge. We will reach the sandy beach of Tysa river and swim. Overnight. 

 

day 5

From Tysa river we will pass the Slovak-Ukrainian border on Latorytsia river along the dam of Latorytsia river, will go to the previous route in Boiany village. Where the route number 3 with route number 2 are closed /

day 6

Transfer to "Hutsul" ranch or continue

Along the Slovakian polonynas

This route goes through the Rusyn villages of Slovakia. You will be able to communicate with the local population in a language similar to Ukrainian; in each village there are small bars where you can drink good Slovak beer.

 

day 1

Preparing for a trip, dinner, getting acquainted with horses, packing of things and carts. Sleeping in carriages near a beautiful lake, on the banks of Ublianka river.

day 2

On the second day, about 25 km will be passed and 2 wooden old churches will be visited: in Kalna Roztoka and Yalova villages

We will pass the Upcha pass from which the landscapes on the one side of the Ukrainian Polonynas - Rivna, Hostra and the Liutianska Holytsia, and on the other side are the sceneries of the Slovak Carpathians (Nezhabets and Sninskyi Kamin towns, Vihorlad town). We will go down to Stakchyn village from where we will go up to the second overnight accommodation.

Overnight near Starina Lake (the largest water reservoir in Slovakia), the dam that holds this lake is 50 meters high

 

day 3

We will climb to the Kartsaba pass from which you can see Staryna lake and the territory of Poland. We will pass the villages of Poplar, Russkiy Potok where we can get acquainted with the architecture of the old Rusyn churches.

Overnight in a mountainous picturesque Ulych village, located on the Slovak Ukrainian border.

 

day 4

We will start from Ulych village to climb Nastas pass from which the landscapes of the Polish, Ukrainian and Slovakian polonynas are opened. From Nastas pass we will go down to Ubla village passing Ruska Volova village, we will get acquainted with the architecture of the old church.

 

We will arrive at the ranch at 18:00 at the end of the tour, who wants shall depart; others will spend the night at the ranch.

We will go up from Ubla village on the pass which is located in Inovets village from where you can see the Slowak and Polish polonynas and start gping down to Beniatynske lake

Depending on the weather and mood of the group, we can visit churches in the surroundings.

Overnight at Beniatynskye lake, 1 km from the nearest village. Photo On the edge of the lake there are 3 old wooden churches. A very beautiful lake is similar to Plitvice Lake in Croatia- of emerald color. 

day 3

Most of the day we will go to large wineyards.

Overnight in Orekhova village near the lake, nearby is a wine factory where you can taste wines. 

day 4

All day long we will go along the Dam of Uh River (Uzh). The landscape changes from mountain to plain and green meadows.

Overnight over Uh river, Baiany village.

We will go along the dam over Uh river (Uzh) where it flows into the Lavorets river.

Overnight in Brehov village over Ondava river.

day 6

Passing through Brehov village, we will appear in Tokay valley.
